About Me
Hello and welcome! My name is Morgan Leitzel (DeVico), and I am a Ventura County educator specializing in literacy instruction. I hold a bachelor’s degree in English Education and a PreK-12 English teaching credential from Pepperdine University.
Over the past ten years, my work as a public school teacher and private tutor has focused on helping students build strong foundations in reading and writing through personalized, evidence-based instruction. I am trained in the Lindamood-Bell and Wilson methods and specialize in assessing each student’s current level, identifying areas for growth, and creating a targeted plan to help them move toward grade-level reading and writing standards.
I am also an experienced college essay editor. Students from my private tutoring sessions have been admitted to schools such as Cal Poly Engineering, UCLA, Pepperdine, and more.
I would love to meet you and your student, discuss your goals, and create a plan to help your student grow as a reader, writer, and thinker.
